Welcome
to my website!

The idea of beauty as a source of energy and inspiration has fascinated me since childhood. I like to share my love of it through playing for people, teaching and writing.

Despite an early start in music it took many years, dead ends and detours until I found my path, professionally and as a person. That gave me the chance to explore life from different perspectives. Born and raised in Germany, I’ve also lived in England, Russia and the United States. I’ve worked as a nurses’ aid and as a school teacher, I’ve done research in music education, I’ve directed choir, sung in choirs, and I’ve taught piano to people of different backgrounds and ages in a variety of settings, one-on-one and in small groups, at community music schools and as a private teacher. I’ve performed classical repertoire at concert venues, churches, nursing homes and at the Port Authority Bus Terminal in New York City.  Ultimately, it’s the intersections where music meets life that fascinate me most.
